Project description:

This was a collaborative effort with Chicago artist Dan Peterman. Dan’s work centers around his facility near the University of Chicago, Experimental Station, which houses his studios, as well as Blackstone Bikeworks where he assists local youths to build their own bikes. A client in Wisconsin who wanted a summer pavilion for family gatherings at a small lake commissioned the container house project. The house is constructed with repurposed shipping containers that contrast with the more traditional lean-to roof and timber construction.
